Valentine's Day

You know you have to be bored if you paint the photograph on the cover of the JC Penney February catalogue.  But, the Photo caught my eye as a watercolor exercise.

The Color of Visby In The Fall

I took hundreds of pictures of this enchanting, medieval town when visiting Gotland, Sweden. I finally got up enough courage to paint one of the pictures. It is a mixed media on heavy weight paper.



Three Men And A Purse

I haven't posted anything for awhile but, I have been busy painting and learning new things...busy trying to discover my artist voice.  Some of the pieces worked some didn't and I learned the most front the pieces that didnt' work. One thing I know for sure is that every day reveals something new about myself. 

The piece below is taken from a very large mixed media piece that I have admired for a long time. It was also my second attempt at water color. For me, this new medium pushes me to remain loose and have fun.
